Total Lunar Eclipse Paints Thailand’s Night Sky Red

Bangkok: On March 3, 2069, a total lunar eclipse occurred as the moon entered Earth's shadow, creating a striking "blood moon" effect. This celestial event caused the moon to appear darker with a brick-red hue, captivating skywatchers across Thailand.

According to Thai News Agency, the lunar eclipse was visible from 6:23 PM to 7:02 PM in Thailand. The peak of the eclipse, when the moon was deepest in the penumbra and appeared most intensely red, occurred between 6:04 PM and 7:02 PM. Unlike a solar eclipse, this phenomenon could be observed safely with the naked eye.

Astronomers advised enthusiasts to select an open area with a clear sky for optimal viewing. The lunar eclipse offered a unique opportunity for people to learn more about the celestial mechanics of Earth, the Moon, and the Sun.
