Bangkok: "Treenuch" is waiting for the Election Commission to certify the results and has not yet discussed any deals regarding forming a government. Ms. Treenuch Thianthong, Minister of Labour and leader of the Palang Pracharath Party (PPRP), emphasized the absence of discussions with "Anutin" about joining his second government, pending official election results.
According to Thai News Agency, Treenuch pointed out that the election has only just concluded, and therefore, no concrete talks have been held. The PPRP currently holds five Members of Parliament, comprising four from constituencies and one from the party list, but the party awaits the Election Commission's certification before proceeding with any further steps.
When questioned about the Cabinet meeting discussions, Treenuch confirmed that only greetings and congratulations were exchanged, with no in-depth conversations taking place. She reiterated that no discussions have occurred yet, stressing patience until the Election Commission certifies the election outcomes.
Treenuch also addressed the timeline for forming the new cabinet, stating that the process would adhere to the system once the Election Commission certifies the results. She acknowledged the Prime Minister's Bhumjaithai Party as the leading party in forming the government and highlighted the PPRP's willingness to listen to the people.
Regarding potential conditions for joining the government, Treenuch mentioned that discussions on this matter have not begun. General Prawit Wongsuwan has only extended his congratulations on the prospect of joining the government.
