Trump Says Ukraine Peace Talks Remain Unclear

Washington: US President Donald Trump told reporters after being briefed on the outcome of talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin, US special envoy Steve Vitkov, and his adviser and son-in-law Jared Kushner that the future for Ukraine peace talks remains unclear. Trump indicated that while both Vitkov and Kushner, the negotiators, understood Putin’s interest in reaching a peace deal, the path forward was uncertain as progress would necessitate cooperation from both Russia and Ukraine.

According to Thai News Agency, White House officials announced that Mr. Witkov and Mr. Kushner are scheduled to meet with Ukrainian officials in Miami on Thursday. The upcoming meeting is expected to further assess the possibilities of advancing peace talks and addressing the complexities involved in the negotiations.
