United States Returns Ancient Bronze Sculptures to Thailand

Bangkok: The United States has returned the "Bronze Sculptures from the Prakhon Chai Group" to Thailand. Ms. Sabida Thaiseth, Minister of Culture, led the press conference where the return of these significant artifacts from the San Francisco Asian Museum of Art to Thailand was announced.

According to Thai News Agency, the four bronze sculptures, originating from the Lopburi period, include three Bodhisattva figures and one Buddha figure. These artifacts date back to approximately the 13th-14th centuries CE, making them about 1,200 years old. The metal composition and artistic style of these sculptures align with those found in Buriram Province, which are currently exhibited at the Bangkok National Museum.
