Bangkok: Yotchanan has expressed confidence in his ability to help individuals become millionaires through his ambitious "Nine Millionaires a Day, Nine People Earn Nine Million Baht Daily" policy.
According to Thai News Agency, Yotsanan believes that the policy, which has been meticulously studied and planned, will successfully integrate 10% of the informal economy into the formal sector, despite structural differences between Thailand and model countries like Brazil and Taiwan.
Yotsanu Wongsawat, the Pheu Thai Party's prime ministerial candidate, addressed concerns regarding the "Creating 9 Millionaires a Day" policy. He stated that Pheu Thai Party leader Julaphan Amornvivat and other party executives have clarified the policy in a press conference, emphasizing the need for systemic restructuring. Budget allocation is a pivotal component of their strategy to formalize the informal economy. To combat corruption, the party aims to promote a digital government with voluntary data collection, thus developing interconnected policies to achieve high-income country status.
Yotsanan acknowledged the right of individuals to file complaints about the policy with relevant agencies but stressed that all parties' policies should be scrutinized. He urged for fairness, asserting that the party has a well-defined approach and is committed to pushing for systemic success through digital government involvement.
Addressing the differences between Thailand and model countries like Brazil and Taiwan, Yotsanan mentioned ongoing internal research to tailor the policy to Thailand's unique structure. The goal is to formalize 10% of the informal economy, potentially increasing income. The party is also focusing on categorizing the population to prioritize care for key societal groups, especially as Thailand transitions into an aging society.
When questioned about the project's potential abandonment, akin to the digital wallet initiative, Yotchanan confidently stated that they have thoroughly examined the information and are prepared to communicate and address any challenges that arise.
