Yotchanan Leads Pheu Thai Party’s Campaign Push in Ubon Ratchathani

Ubon ratchathani: Yotchanan, a key figure in the Pheu Thai Party, led a substantial group of party candidates to Ubon Ratchathani in an effort to secure their positions in the upcoming elections. He emphasized his commitment to the people and the importance of gratitude in politics, pledging to protect the border communities and uphold the honor of the Pheu Thai Party.

According to Thai News Agency, the second day of the Pheu Thai Party's campaign in the Northeast commenced in Constituency 7 of Ubon Ratchathani Province, a strategic area for the party. This follows the switch of former Pheu Thai MP Sudarat Pitakphornpallop to the Bhumjaithai Party, prompting Pheu Thai to field Cherdsak Phokkulkanon as her replacement. The campaign saw participation from several key party figures, including Prime Minister candidate Yotsanu Wongsawat, party leader Julaphan Amornvivat, party secretary-general Prasert Chantharawong, Phumtham Wechayachai, and Chusak Sirinil.

Upon his arrival at the rally, Mr. Yotsanan received a warm welcome from the crowd, who insisted on interacting with him more closely. The public's enthusiasm led him to step off the stage to engage with attendees, who offered him traditional Thai gifts. In his address, Mr. Yotsanan stressed the significance of gratitude in politics and assured the crowd that Cherdsak, also known as Tee Lek, is the candidate capable of fulfilling the party's promises.

Mr. Yotsanan outlined the Pheu Thai Party's policies, highlighting debt relief measures, including those for farmers and the elderly, as well as a plan to reduce expenses with a new electricity rate policy. He emphasized the party's strategies for generating funds, mentioning the "Millionaire" project and policies to ensure profit for agricultural products. He acknowledged skepticism about the feasibility of these policies but maintained that they are achievable.

He further addressed the issues facing the community, including poverty, drug problems, and illicit funds. Mr. Yotsanan emphasized the party's dedication to fighting these challenges and improving the quality of life for the people of Ubon Ratchathani.
