Bangkok: Yotsanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, arrived at Government House for the first time, accompanied by Chulaphan Amornvivat, Minister of Labour and leader of the Pheu Thai Party, to have lunch with Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul. The meeting is believed to have centered on the direction of coalition party work.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Yotsanan and Mr. Chulaphan were welcomed by Mr. Paradorn Prisnanantakul, Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office, and Ms. Traisuli Traisaranakul, a party-list MP from the Bhumjaithai Party. As Mr. Yotsanan alighted from the car, he acknowledged the media with a wave.
This visit marks an important occasion as it is Mr. Yotsanan's inaugural visit to Government House. The discussions were expected to focus on the strategic direction of Mr. Yotsanan's work with the Bhumjaithai Party, as well as preparations for a policy statement scheduled for release on April 9-10.
