Yotsanan Wongsawat Advocates for Pheu Thai Party’s Vision of Economic Equality

Bangkok: Mr. Yotsanan Wongsawat, the Pheu Thai Party’s prime ministerial candidate, has emphasized the party’s core policies aimed at enriching the poor while ensuring the wealthy do not lose their prosperity. Speaking at the launch event for prospective parliamentary candidates, he pledged to tackle drug abuse, corruption, and scams.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Yotsanan highlighted his longstanding commitment to the party, recalling his candidacy for MP in Chiang Mai Province a decade ago. He reiterated that the Pheu Thai Party prioritizes the welfare of the people, marking February 8th as a pivotal day for building a better Thailand.

Mr. Yotsanan addressed the nation’s challenges, including economic issues, geopolitical concerns, global warming, and technological advancements. The Pheu Thai Party’s policies are structured around four main areas. The first is addressing the root causes of problems, emphasizing debt elimination, expense reduction, and income increase to prevent future indebtedness.

The second area focuses on enhancing existing economic engines through science and technology in agriculture, manufacturing, services, and transportation. The aim is to improve efficiency and security, thereby attracting tourists and boosting the economy.

The third policy area involves creating new economic engines and expanding opportunities in high-value sectors such as agriculture, the herbal industry, medical devices, semiconductors, and the AI industry. Additionally, it includes high-value services like the wellness and creative economies.

The fourth policy underscores the government’s role in building public trust and developing human resources, with a strong emphasis on national sovereignty and eradicating drug issues, corruption, and scams.

Mr. Yotsanan expressed confidence in the party’s ability to succeed, citing the return of Thai Rak Thai party members and the experience of Pheu Thai party members. He likened their efforts to standing on a benevolent giant’s shoulders, providing a clear vision of hope for Thailand’s future. He concluded by urging support for the Pheu Thai Party on February 8th, advocating for both the people and the party.
