Bangkok: The Cabinet has approved the transfer of 25 high-ranking officials from the Ministry of Interior. The Governor of Nong Bua Lamphu has been promoted to Director-General of the Community Development Department, while Siam, the Director-General of the Community Development Department, has been transferred to the position of Governor of Pak Nam.
According to Thai News Agency, the Ministry of Interior proposed the appointment and transfer of civil servants in high-level administrative positions for the Cabinet to consider and approve, totaling 25 positions. The meeting resolved to approve the proposals of the Ministry of Interior. Notable transfers include Mr. Siam Sirimongkol, who has been appointed as the Governor of Samut Prakan Province, and Mr. Jumpot Wannachatsiri, who will serve as Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior.
Mr. Chucheep Phongchai, previously the Governor of Tak Province, has been appointed as Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior. Meanwhile, Mr. Surasak Aksornkul, former Governor of Nong Bua Lamphu Province, has been promoted to Director-General of the Community Development Department. Other notable appointments include Mr. Naris Niramaiwong as the Governor of Chonburi and Mr. Thotsapol Phueanudom as the Governor of Chiang Mai Province, effective from the date of His Majesty’s gracious appointment onwards.
Lieutenant Colonel Adisak Noisuwan and Mr. Narong Thepsena, both former governors of Ubon Ratchathani and Amnat Charoen Provinces respectively, have been appointed as Inspectors General of the Ministry of Interior. Similarly, Mr. Angkoon Silathawakul, Mr. Chawanin Wongstathirakarn, and Mr. Prachaya Unpetchwarakorn have also been appointed as Inspectors General.
In addition, Mr. Suphamit Chinsri has been transferred to Governor of Nakhon Sawan Province, and Mr. Chamnan Chuenta will assume the role of Governor of Ubon Ratchathani Province. Mr. Ratthasat Chidchu has been appointed as the Governor of Krabi Province, while Mr. Charin Thongsuk and Mr. Ratthaphon Naradisorn have been transferred to Governors of Khon Kaen and Chiang Rai Provinces respectively.
The newly approved appointments, effective from October 1, 2025, also include Mr. Ekwit Meepian as Governor of Pathum Thani Province and Mr. Saransak Srikruenet as Governor of Phuket Province. Ms. Chutiporn Sesang will serve as Governor of Mae Hong Son Province, and Mr. Wibun Waewbandit will become Governor of Lampang Province. Additionally, Mr. Chaiyachai Saeng-in, Mr. Sombat Traisak, and Mr. Anurat Thammaprajamjit have been appointed as Governors of Samut Songkhram, Singburi, and Amnat Charoen Provinces respectively.
