Government House, 22 Oct. – “Warawut” urges the Uthai Thani Ministry of Social Development and Human Security team to follow up and provide continuous assistance to victims of the educational tour bus accident.
Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS), revealed about the assistance for those affected by the fire incident of the school bus on a school trip from Uthai Thani Province that he received a report from the Center for Accelerated Public Welfare Management (CWMS) by the MSDHS team, consisting of the Office of Academic Promotion and Support 7 (OAP7) and MSDHS units in Uthai Thani, Nakhon Sawan, Chainat, Sing Buri, Pathum Thani, and Suphan Buri provinces, which set up a rescue point at Wat Khao Phraya Sangkharam School, Tambon Lan Sak, Amphoe Lan Sak, Uthai Thani Province, with a total of 26 people involved in major road accidents, including 23 fatalities, 20 children and 3 teachers, and 3 injured, all 3 children, with 25 households affected.

hat currently, the One and Only MSD team has provided assistance to those affected in various matters, such as: 1. The One and Only MSD team in Uthai Thani Province organized the 2nd CASE MANAGER (CM) meeting to plan the field visit to provide assistance and plan the preparation of data for each family. 2. The One and Only MSD team in Uthai Thani Province, together with the Office of the Attorney General for the Protection of Rights and Legal Assistance and Enforcement of Uthai Thani Province, the Public Health Office of Lansak District, Nakhon Sawan Psychiatric Hospital, MSD volunteers, kamnans, and village headmen, visited homes to provide encouragement and survey data of affected families in order to use the data to plan assistance in the next phase. 3. The One and Only MSD team in Uthai Thani Province, together with the Senate Committee, visited the area to monitor the Senate budget management, follow up on the progress of assistance and assistance for those affected, and prosecute both civil and criminal
cases against the perpetrators.
Mr. Varawut said that for the relief operation plan, the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security, through the MSDHS team, has jointly planned the CM team to visit the affected families. There will be weekly team meetings as follows: 1) October 2024 to December 2024, scheduled to visit once a week; 2) January 2025 to February 2025, scheduled to visit once a month; and 3) January 2025 to March 2025, scheduled to organize activities for the local children and youth council. On October 22, 2024, a CM team meeting will be held, and on October 24, 2024, a visit to the affected families will be held. In addition, in January 2025, the Senate Budget Management Monitoring Committee will visit the area to follow up on the progress of relief assistance for those affected and civil and criminal prosecution of the offenders.
